With a history of about 70 years, Nomura Shoten is a long-established store that started out as a fish wholesaler and evolved with the times. Konbu rolls (kelp rolls) are their recommended specialty. Taste regional household kelp dishes where Kitamae cargo ship culture remains.

おおよそ70年の歴史を持つ野村商店。魚の仲卸として始まり、時代に合わせて変化を遂げてきた老舗。おすすめは「昆布巻き」。北前船の文化が残る地域の昆布惣菜を食べてみて。

[昆布巻き]

Konbu rolls are herrings wrapped in kelp and
simmered in a sweet soy sauce broth.
※String (made of cypress) tied around the konbu roll is not for consumption.

鰊を昆布で包み、甘辛く煮て味付けした「昆布巻き」。
※昆布を結んだ”すげ”( 桧でできた紐)は食べられません。

Recommended as sake snacks. It is a very popular item and therefore could sell out. Call to check stock.
